Introduction to Digital Private Health Claiming

Medipass/Tyro Health enables allied healthcare providers to raise private health insurance (PHI) claims online, without the need to swipe a physical private health insurance card on a machine. This functionality is available to integrated partners via our Tyro Health SDK.

We have recently made some changes to our Digital Private Health feature. We are currently in the process of updating our documentation to cover these changes.

Introduction to HICAPS

HICAPS stands for Health Industry Claims and Payments Service. Private health and overseas health insurers claiming for Allied providers can be processed via HICAPS. No terminal is required . Claims and gap payments can be processed and approved entirely online . Partners can submit HICAPS claims via the Tyro Health SDK and obtain transaction status changes via both callbacks and webhooks.

All the above mentioned functions are accessed via the Tyro Health SDK which is a Javascript library.

To simplify ongoing support for your providers, we include a real-time chat and support capability. The chat links to our help system which identifies the business and status of transactions. This means that claim and payment transaction issues and inquiries can be easily directed to us at time of transaction rather than your help desk.
